Pastor James became a believer while studying at a secular university. After he was converted, he moved to North Carolina and served at a Rescue Mission for several years. During this time, God burdened his heart for people near where he grew up. He came on staff at First Baptist Church in July 2016. 

James serves as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church. He and his wife, Susanna, have three boys: Titus, Timothy and Tatum.

Pastor Cody is from the sunshine state of Florida where he received Christ as his Savior in Apopka at 9 years old. Cody's heart was burdened for teenagers, while a high school senior, after the Lord worked in his heart during youth camp at the Wilds in 2009. The Lord led him to a Bible college in North Carolina to learn more about the Bible and youth ministry while serving as Youth Pastor for several years. After completing the requirements for his Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry, Cody joined the staff of First Baptist in July 2017 as Youth Pastor. Cody, his wife Alyssa, and two daughters, Audrey and Avery are excited to serve God, His Church, and His people full-time.
